Using intricate, charismatic fabric to transform a quilt of simple shapes into a dramatic spectacle enthralls me. This type of quilt may look difficult and complicated but ultimately is not when you know how to look for the seams. This time, rather than placing contrasting colors next to each other -- which would emphasize the simple pattern of straight lines -- I opted to soften the joins, encouraging the elements to appear as though they stream across the seams from strip-to-strip.
